The event welcomed over 240 guests to Elm Ridge Golf Club for a chilly day on the links, cocktails, on-course food stations and a silent auction. The funds will help purchase equipment for the Hospital’s Emergency Department.
Guests were greeted by girls wearing dresses that held mimosas and entered along our Walk of Fame honouring all the past tournament chairs before enjoying a delicious brunch. Before teeing off, Foundation Managing Director Nathalie Kamel and Committee & Board Co-Chair Dave Cescon welcomed everyone to the tournament. Eric Aguib from Snowmelting.ca, the tournament’s Ace Sponsor, spoke about his desire to support his community hospital and Serge Poirier from Desjardins, Caisse de l’Ouest-de-L’Ile (the Foundation’s Partner for Community) thanked everyone for supporting the event.
Golfers were treated to delicious food on both the North and South Courses. They enjoyed offerings from 40 Westt, Birdhouse, Café Gentile, Lucille’s Food Truck, La Maison Verte, Sahib and Taste Italy while also partaking in Beat the Pro, Closest to the Pin, Hole-in-One and putting competitions. Cousin Vinny also joined us to play music at the course crossover!
Following their round, guests enjoyed a cocktail dînatoire in the bar area of the clubhouse while also bidding on the wonderful silent auction items, which included wine, rounds of golf, restaurant packages and a chalet rental, to name a few. Tournament Co-Founder Ron Rappel also took the mic as our Live Auctioneer, where guests bid on a Montreal Canadiens Alumni Experience.
The evening concluded with word from Drs. Tomas Kaufman and Robin Nathanson, Co-Chiefs of the Emergency Department. They thanked all the participants for their support and shared what a difference the proceeds of this event would make for their department, staff and patients.
Thank you to our event sponsors Snowmelting.ca, Desjardins, Caisse de Ouest-de-L’Ile, NUAGE Logistics, as well as all other sponsors, the participants, donors, food partners and volunteers who supported the event.
