2017 Lakeshore Ball committee

Pointe-Claire (Québec) – November 14, 2017 – The Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation (LGHF) is pleased to announce that it has reached its goal by raising $500,000 at the 17th annual Lakeshore Ball, which took place on Saturday, November 11th at the Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel. Three exceptional women, whose values coincide with those of the Foundation, supported the Ball as Honorary Presidents, namely Lyne Giroux of Aqua Spa Lyne Giroux, Monique Mardinian of Encore Travel and Sandra Hudon of Cascades PRO. The Mirella and Lino Saputo Foundation held the Gold Sponsorship title, and was extremely generous by donating an extra $ 21,000 at the final hour to help the Foundation achieve its goal. The funds raised during this prestigious event, MC’d by The Beat 92.5 radio host Shaun McMahon, will serve to enhance the quality of health care for the West Island community.

Managing Director Heather Holmes and LGHF Board Co-Chairs, David Cescon and Dr. Fiore Lalla, welcomed over 350 guests, including some of the most influential and well-known figures in the community. In addition to the sumptuous decorations inspired by the theme of the Enchanted Forest, guests enjoyed cocktails, champagne, a five-course gourmet dinner, open bar, performances and dancing to the sound of the band Electrik. “I am once again very touched by the generosity of our community. An event like this could not have been so successful without the participation and commitment of our many collaborators, who care about our community hospital, and I want to thank them all,” says Heather Holmes.

In addition to the Honorary Presidents and the Mirella and Lino Saputo Foundation, several West Island businesses supported the Lakeshore Ball as Co-Presidents of the Ball, including: Desjardins, Enterprise Holdings, F.J. Machine Shop, Réseau Sélection, Roxboro Excavation, UniGear and West Island Roofing.
