The Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation raises over $150,000 thanks to its 22nd Annual Golf Tournament

Pointe-Claire (Québec) – June 4, 2019 The Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that the 22nd edition of its Annual Golf Tournament, held on June 3rd, has raised over $150,000, which will be going towards enhancing the quality of care offered at the Lakeshore General Hospital. Presented by RBC Wealth Management and sponsored by Desjardins, Air Canada Rouge, the Tenaquip Foundation, Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel and CN, the event welcomed close to 200 guests who had a great time completing the superb championship course of the Elm Ridge Country Club in Île-Bizard, despite the winter-type weather.

Golfers started their day with a delicious brunch and continued enjoying mouth-watering hors d’oeuvres throughout the day, as well as refreshments, beer and cocktails offered on course by 4 Origins Brewing Co., 40 Westt, Aqua Spa Lyne Giroux, Bâton Rouge D.D.O., Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel and Monza. After the tournament, guests happily relaxed and networked during the cocktail hour, followed by a gourmet meal and a fabulous silent auction.

The 21st Annual Golf Tournament of the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation, a brilliant success!

Pointe-Claire (Québec)—June 5, 2018—The Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation (LGHF) is pleased to announce that the 21st Annual Golf Tournament raised $216,000, which will be used to enhance the quality of care and facilities at the Lakeshore General Hospital. Sponsored by the Tenaquip Foundation, Uptown Volvo, the event attracted nearly 200 participants. Rain, wind and cold did not deter 50 courageous golfers who played the championship course of the Elm Ridge Country Club in Île-Bizard.

Before teeing off, all were treated to an exquisite brunch offered by Desjardins and enjoyed trying their skills at golf-dart, courtesy of Kelitos Sports. On-course culinary tastings were offered by 40 Westt, Bâton Rouge D.D.O., la Maison Verte and Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel, who all kindly braved the elements to support the golfers. A tasty cocktail followed by live performance by the Acafellas Barber shop quartet and a fabulous gourmet meal concluded the event.

The 20th Annual Golf Tournament of the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation : A Resounding Success

Pointe-Claire (Québec) – June 20, 2017 The Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation (LGHF) is pleased to announce that the 20th Annual Golf Tournament, presented by RBC Wealth Management, raised $ 157,000, which will be used to enhance the quality of care and facilities at the Lakeshore General Hospital. Sponsored by Desjardins, BFL Canada and FSCO Digital Marketing, the event attracted more than 200 golfers on the championship course of the Elm Ridge Country Club in Île-Bizard. The evening was emceed by Larry Day and opened with a live performance by the Acafellas Barber shop quartet.


It was a real dream day with perfect weather, breathtaking scenery, an exquisite brunch, a tasty cocktail followed by a gourmet meal, and as a bonus, on-course culinary tastings offered by 40 Westt, Bâton Rouge DDO, Bistro Pointe-Claire, La Diperie, the Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel, La Maison Verte and Molson. The 19th Edition of the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation’s Annual Golf Tournament Exceeds Expectations

Pointe-Claire (Québec) – June 3, 2016 – The Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation (LGHF) attracted nearly 200 participants at the 19th edition of its Annual Golf Tournament, which was held at the prestigious Royal Montreal Golf Club in L’Île-Bizard. The event, sponsored by RBC Wealth Management, Plus Belle la Vie, and Desjardins, raised $ 130,800, which will go towards the Intensive Care Unit of the Lakeshore General Hospital (LGH).


A perfect summer day where the temperature, cocktails, good food, and good humor were at the rendezvous, not to mention the exclusive Blue course worthy of the greatest players of the world! As a bonus, 40 Westt, Bâton Rouge DDO, DelMonaco, Importations Centoventi, and the Montreal Airport Marriott Inn-Terminal Hotel enabled participants to feast and be refreshed throughout the course. In addition to the sponsors and annual partners, 33 generous prize donors supported the LGHF for the live and silent auctions. The value of the items up for bid ranged from $ 100 to $ 3,500 for a week in Florida for four people, including flight, condo, and car rental! During the meal, the guests were treated to the vibrant testimonial of a patient who had a near-death experience. He was particularly grateful for the extraordinary care he received from the staff of the LGH Intensive Care Unit, during his stay of almost four months. Sophie Caron, Head Nurse of the ICU, who closely monitored the evolution of this patient, also delivered a moving message.


“We are particularly grateful to our golf committee and its co-chairs, David Cescon and Renée Yardley, who through their dedication have managed to sell-out the event and ensure that all revenue collected be directly reinvested in health care for the West Island community. We are also proud to have had the support of sponsors and dignitaries who are sensitive to our cause”, said Ms. Heather Holmes, Managing Director of the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation.
