The 18th edition of the Lakeshore Ball. A Great Success for the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation – $460,000 were Raised

Pointe-Claire – November 19, 2018 – The Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation (LGHF) held, for the 18th year in a row, the most prestigious event of all its activities, the Lakeshore Ball, which took place on November 17th at the Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel. Co-presided by Desjardins, F.J. Machine Shop, the Mehra Family Foundation, Roxboro Excavation, Unigear-Santasalo and West Island Roofing, the evening drew a parallel between cultural diversity and light. Radio host Shaun McMahon of The Beat 92.5 lent his hosting talent to the event, which raised $ 460,000, amount that will be used to enhance health care for the West Island community, by purchasing equipment that will improve both the Obstetrics and Intensive Care departments.

It is to the sound of bagpipes, musicians and dancers in folk costumes from around the world, that more than 350 dignitaries, partners and guests were welcomed at the Lakeshore Ball. Cocktails, a five-course meal, an open bar, live performance by the band Electrik, a silent auction and testimonials were part of the magnificent evening.

“This year, the theme brought us around the world, which was a tribute to the cultural diversity of our community. We celebrate this diversity as it brings light, joy and richness into our lives; it broadens our horizons and allows us to flourish, ” said Heather Holmes, Managing Director of the LGHF. “A major event such as this one does not happen alone and the LGHF has the privilege and the pleasure of being able to count on pillars of our community that are also examples of generosity. Outstanding success for the 17th edition of the Lakeshore Ball – The Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation raised $500,000

Pointe-Claire (Québec) – November 14, 2017 – The Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation (LGHF) is pleased to announce that it has reached its goal by raising $500,000 at the 17th annual Lakeshore Ball, which took place on Saturday, November 11th at the Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel. Three exceptional women, whose values coincide with those of the Foundation, supported the Ball as Honorary Presidents, namely Lyne Giroux of Aqua Spa Lyne Giroux, Monique Mardinian of Encore Travel and Sandra Hudon of Cascades PRO. The Mirella and Lino Saputo Foundation held the Gold Sponsorship title, and was extremely generous by donating an extra $ 21,000 at the final hour to help the Foundation achieve its goal. The funds raised during this prestigious event, MC’d by The Beat 92.5 radio host Shaun McMahon, will serve to enhance the quality of health care for the West Island community.


Managing Director Heather Holmes and LGHF Board Co-Chairs, David Cescon and Dr. Fiore Lalla, welcomed over 350 guests, including some of the most influential and well-known figures in the community. In addition to the sumptuous decorations inspired by the theme of the Enchanted Forest, guests enjoyed cocktails, champagne, a five-course gourmet dinner, open bar, performances and dancing to the sound of the band Electrik. “I am once again very touched by the generosity of our community. An event like this could not have been so successful without the participation and commitment of our many collaborators, who care about our community hospital, and I want to thank them all,” says Heather Holmes.

The Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation raised $502,200 at the 16th edition of the Lakeshore Ball

Pointe-Claire (Québec) – November 14, 2016 – The Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that $502,200 were raised at the 16th Annual Lakeshore Ball, which was held on Saturday, November 12th at the vibrant Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel. The monies raised will be used namely to enhance, redesign and integrate the Intensive Care and Cardiac Care Units at the Lakeshore General Hospital. These units will be housed in a single multifunctional space and equipped with state-of-the-art technology. This project will save valuable minutes in critical life or death situations. Many West Island companies brought their support to the Foundation’s annual Ball, including the Co-Presidents of the Ball: Roxboro Excavation, Desjardins, Broccolini Construction, Santasalo, McKesson Canada, and Réseau Sélection. The event also attracted numerous sponsors: Aéro Mag, Baylis Medical, Coca-Cola, Desjardins, Le Diplomate Audiovisuel, Mirella & Lino Saputo Foundation, Groupe Spinelli, Plani-Concept Plus, Rolland Enterprises Inc., Rebellion Films, and the SAQ.


Managing Director Heather Holmes and Board Co-Chairs David Cescon and Dr. Fiore Lalla welcomed over 300 guests, including some of the most influential and well-known personalities in the community. Shaun McMahon of The Beat 92.5 and Heather Holmes were the Masters of ceremony. In addition to supporting the Foundation’s mission, which is to advance patient care at the Lakeshore General Hospital, guests attended a glamorous, elegant networking evening. The enchanting Brazil-themed event included cocktails, champagne, five-course gourmet dinner, open bar, and dance to the sound of the musical group Electrik. A beautiful silent auction and other entertainment were part of the evening, as well as a lot of surprises for the guests.
