Lakeshore Story – Laurent Crevier

On April 6, 2021, Laurent Crevier came to the Lakeshore Oncology Department to have his 26th chemotherapy treatment. It was also Oncology Nursing Day and Mr. Crevier kindly accepted to take the time to pay tribute to the staff of the Lakeshore Oncology Department. This is Laurent’s story.

On Saturday, June 19th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Foundation and teams of volunteers will be collecting money from motorists in the parking lots of West Island shopping centres. All funds raised during this event called “Change for Change” will be used to improve the Lakeshore General Hospital’s Emergency Department.

Going to the Oncology Clinic felt like a tea party! My name is Gwen and I have been very healthy all my life. I had never set foot in hospital for 65 years! In 2019, I felt some abnormal symptoms, so I went to the Lakeshore General Hospital. Shortly after, I was diagnosed with cancer.
